~ PUPPET MASTER ~
Lead your horde to glory in this role-reversed roguelike! Buy, place, and upgrade your dark army to defeat the mighty Ultra Knight. Gain 'Essence' to unlock new troops and abilities for your next run attempt!
HOW TO PLAY:
Create a new save (which you can later load or return to) and then begin your first run.
Before actually starting a run you are able to buy or upgrade your own troops uising a currency called essence.
You will gain essence at the end of each run based on your performance.
Your goal during a run will be to defeat the hero 3 times before he passes the 10th room. You will loose if you dont have enough gold at the start of to place any troops
In each room you will have to strategically place troops to fight the hero. After fighting the hero in a room you will be given a choice of rewards to help you in future rooms
CONTROLS:
- right click rotates the camera perspective
- scroll wheel zooms in
- click on troop icons and then click on the battleground to place them
- click on abilities in your inventory and then place them using the cursor on the background
- press escape to open the pause menu
FEATURES:
- 6 entirely unique orc troop units with different weapons and attacks
- 1 big Ultra Knight, trained with machine learning to give you a tough time
- 20+ unique level layouts
- 3 unique level tilesets
- In-run currency of gold and persistent currency of Essence to upgrade units, gold collection ability and unlock new troops
- A variety of interesting abilities to use with your troops
- Functioning volume sliders for SFX, Music and Master
- A persistent save file system
CREDITS:
All of the assets within this game were made custom by our group members, including all audio/sfx, all soundtracks, and all 3D art assets/2D art renders.
This game was created by Andrew Hales (programmer/lead developer), Aeirone Maxc Felipe (sound artist/composer), Ethan Davidson (3D Artist/Project Manager), and Lazar Cirkovic (secondary programmer and UI artist)
This project was made for a first-year game development course PROD 121 at the University of Canterbury.
